Some believers in the Lord think that all we need to do is suffer and pay a price to spread the Lord's gospel, carry a cross to follow the Lord, and practice humility, patience and forbearance, and that by doing all these things we are following the will of the heavenly Father, and they also believe that if we always pursue our faith in this way, then eventually we will be saved by God and enter into the kingdom of heaven and obtain eternal life. But is it right to have this kind of understanding and practice in this way? The Lord Jesus said, "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? and in your name have cast out devils? and in your name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity" (Matthew 7:22-23). Why is it that these people who preach and toil in the Lord's name will not only not enter the kingdom of heaven, but will also be punished by the Lord?
